Gosiame Amy Goitsemodimo
Amy joined the National Museum in 2008 as a Research Assistant in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology. In 2009 she was offered a permanent position as Assistant Museum Scientist. She obtained a BA degree in Geography and Environmental Management at the University of the Free State in 2006, and a BA Hons., Anthropology in 2007. Amy is currently doing her Masters in Anthropology under the supervision of Dr Petro Esterhuyse.
Amy is describing the Basotho material in the Anthropology collection and also has a research project about the social dynamics of water in Thaba Nchu area. She is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and Anthropology Southern Africa Students Association. Amy is much involved in the outreach programmes of the Museum.
