Here Oliewenhuis Art Museum staff celebrates oneness by wearing their onesies.
One–thousand “Onesies” (an outfit in a cat suit style) that were designed and made by Bloemfontein fashion students and manufacturers were given away during the Free State Arts Festival 2017. Onesie World was conceived by the Australian artist Adele Varcoe who creates fashion experiences that explore the social and emotional effects of fashion, dress and clothes. Onesie World was the 2017 signature project of the Programme for Innovation in Artform Development, a joint initiative of the University of the Free State and the Free State Arts Festival, supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, SITUATEArt in Festivals and Salamanca Arts Centre.
