Dr Quinette Kruger
Quinette received her tertiary education at the University of the Free State. She started her career in human-wildlife conflict when she joined the Canis-Caracal Programme (CCP) in 2006. As part of the CCP’s aim to contribute to sustainable land use and biodiversity conservation in southern Africa, she investigated the role of information and information management in mitigating human-wildlife conflict.
Her Ph.D. focused on finding more effective technologies and procedures to collate relevant information for incorporation into a national database as part of a Management Information System (MIS). As Manager of the Predation Management Centre at the University of the Free State, much of her work has focused on the development of such an MIS.
