Ronnie Watt
Dr Ronnie Watt is a ceramics art historian, research associate of the School of the Arts (Visual Arts) at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), and honorary life member of Ceramics Southern Africa.
His field of interest is 20th and 21st century South African ceramics of which he has been a long-time collector, and as addressed in his MA (Art History) and PhD (Art) degrees awarded by the University of South Africa.
Now based in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, Canada, Ronnie keeps contact with the South African ceramics fraternity and continues his scholarly work to document and situate the countryโs ceramic art history. Ronnie has published about 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and specialist magazines, as well as two book chapters on contemporary South African ceramics.
