The ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐บ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐น๐ผ๐ฒ๐บ๐ณ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป will host the ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ in celebration of Youth Month. The competition will be open to all school learners from ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ญ๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ old.
As part of ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ which is celebrated by many across the world and which forms the largest global platform for environmental outreach, the ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ calls for artworks on the theme of โ๐ฆ๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐น๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ปโ.
๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ intends to create awareness around peopleโs actions on plastic pollution. Due to the global pollution problem, governments and businesses are taking action to curb the problem. Plastic unfortunately plays a role in all the three challenging areas, climate change, biodiversity, and pollution. According to UN website, Humanity produces over 430 million tonnes of plastic annually.
Therefore, the ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐บ will join the international community in celebrating ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ, by creating an awareness around the plastic pollution problem on our planet with the above-mentioned theme. The arts have always been a tool for commenting and creating awareness for contentious issues and the ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ is a perfect platform for creative expression.
This competition is an annual event for the ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐บ that celebrates and encourages the creativity of our ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐๐.

- Only original artworks created in 2023 can be entered.
- Artworks must speak to and highlight the theme.
- Artworks can be two or three dimensional and be made from a variety of mediums.
- Artworks may not be larger that 1m x 1m x 1m or weigh more than 30kg.
