National Museum provides interactive lessons on multiculturalism to Mangaung learners to celebrate Africa Month

During the week of 23-27 May the Education Department of the National Museum presented PowerPoint lessons on 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 in Africa to Grades 5 – 7 learners. They did outreach presentations to mostly previous disadvantage schools in Bloemfontein/Mangaung area.

They presented to 𝟭𝟮 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀 and reached a total number of 𝟭𝟮𝟵𝟲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀.

Together with their PowerPoint presentation they also showed the learners real cultural artefacts and numerous flags from various African countries which made it even more impressive and special. Learners could participate in some interactive activities, such as traditional dances, drum playing, etc.
