Staff at Oliewenhuis, participants of the Batho Oral History Project, and young temporary residents from Aurora Drug and Alcohol Centre in Bloemfontein celebrated Heritage Day by cooking traditional food in large potjies on open fires. Traditional lamb stew and tripe was cooked and served with samp and dumplings. The Education Department provided traditional Xhosa beads for a discussion about their symbolism in Xhosa culture.
