During October Myra Gohodzi (Archaeology), Khotso Pudumo (History) and Elmar du Plessis (Collections Management) attended the 81st National Conference of the South African Museums Association (SAMA) in Cape Town. This year’s conference theme was Museums and Contested Histories: Saying the Unspeakable in Museums, and both Myra and Khotso presented papers relevant to the subject. The conference also included excursions to various topic-related museums, as well as workshops on education, exhibitions, marketing and conservation.
